THE IMPORTANCE OF STAYING HEALTHY DURING THE COVID19 OUTBREAK
As families all around the world are being forced to stay home to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Anchor management is dedicated in our efforts to still provide our consumers with quality fish to indulge in during this time.
It is of utmost importance that families keep their immune systems up, by eating healthy and incorporating moderate exercise in their daily lives. It is for this reason, that we at Anchor Management have come up with a few to ensure that all our clients are kept healthy and satisfied.
1. Incorporate protein in every meal: Protein should be included in every meal as this is good for your heart and brain. Fish is an excellent source of protein and contains a wide range of Omega oils and other essential oils which is excellent for brain health and overall bodily functioning.
2. Stock up on long lasting food products: Since all our fish is packed and frozen it can be kept in a freezer for many months. This contains the freshness of the product and will ensure that you as a customer do not run out of food in the case of an emergency.
3. Cooking as a hobby: To curb boredom at home, cooking can be a great pass time as well as a productive hobby. You can include your whole family when preparing a meal. Since our fish is versatile it can be incorporated into a variety of dishes thus giving you, the consumer, a luxury of choice when preparing dishes.

We at Anchor Management Ltd. value stakeholder engagement and strive to maintain positive relationships with all our stakeholders as we firmly believe that this is essential to our company’s success. Our business decisions and implementation of it takes place after much consideration of our stakeholders. Stakeholder involvement is important because together we bring diverse perspectives to facilitate innovation!
In this post we will address certain minor issues that were addressed by some of our stakeholders of which were workers, customers and the community in which we operate in.
Pets in the workplace
The most important thing that that influences employee motivation and happiness, and how productive and efficient they can be, all goes down to their working environment. A healthy working environment is the main reason of employee satisfaction and improves productivity.
While having pets in the workplace can be associated with many benefits, it can also open the door to a variety of interpersonal and even legal issues. Pets can certainly be a distraction for both the owner and their neighbouring coworkers. There could also be coworkers who are genuinely afraid of animals and feel stressed around them. For such individuals a pet in the workplace is not a calming presence, but rather a constant threat to their wellbeing and sense of safety. Our employees’ wellbeing and safety is of utmost importance to us and we strive to create a safe, positive and comfortable working environment for all our employees which is why we cannot allow pets in the workplace.
Our role in unemployment alleviation
The primary purpose of every business is to maximize its profits. What makes Anchor Management Ltd. unique is the fact that we nurture a culture that values our impact as much as our achievements.
Unemployment is a global crisis and contributes to economic inefficiency. Anchor Management Ltd. accepts our socioeconomic responsibility and our role as a business in addressing the unemployment crisis. Our aim in this course is to collaborate with education and training providers to help people develop the skills they really need in the world of work, and promoting lifelong learning. We also plan on expanding our manufacturing sector in the foreseeable future, thus creating opportunities for employment and will help in alleviating unemployment. Our goal is to make a profit while making an impact!
Unhappy stakeholders
Whenever the business encounters an unpleasant situation with a stakeholder, we always try to make an effort to understand them and see where they are coming from. We take time to explore their viewpoint and preferred solutions. We always ensure that our stakeholders are feeling heard, valued and appreciated.
We have recently experienced an incident in which our delivery staff accidentally injured a passerby. In dealing with the situation we have decided that compensation will be paid out as the fault lies with our delivery staff and the passerby had every right to claim compensation. At Anchor Management Ltd. we try to operate every aspect of our business based on the principles of justice and fairness.
UN Global Compact
Well firstly, what exactly is the UN global compact? The United Nations (UN) Global Compact is a non-binding United Nation pact to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation. It is an initiative that supports global companies that are committed to responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and corruption.
Anchor Management Ltd. is confident in saying that most, if not all our business operations are in correspondence with the principles on which the UN Global Compact is based. That being said, we have no difficulty in adopting and joining this compact. Contrary to popular belief, running a business is so much more than just making or maximizing profits. As mentioned before, we operate not only to make a profit, but to make an impact too. Becoming a part of this initiative allows our company to do just that, by helping alleviate extreme poverty, address labour issues, reduce environmental risks around the globe and so much more.
By adopting this compact, we are doing our part in transforming a collective aspiration into reality. We want to play a part in changing the world!
